Xtraceroute crashes with "Segmentation fault" whenever I click on the *globe*; this does not occur if I click elsewhere (space surrounding the globe, for instance). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Xtraceroute by typing "xtraceroute". 2.Click on the globe. 3. Actual Results: Xtraceroute crashes and says "Segmentation fault". Expected Results: I do not know since I have never been able to select the globe without causing a crash! Can't reproduce. :-/
I just tried on 4 machines with 2 arches, can't reproduce. If this is still a problem please reopen and provide full information including strace / other debugger logs.
After removing "xtraceroute" a few days ago, I reinstalled it yesterday. It first worked fine but, after rebooting my machine, the problem came back (segmentation fault upon clicking on the globe). I looked for some additional information in my logs, but have found nothing. How can I get more debug info? Thank you for your help. Patrick: Please have a look at this document: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/bugzilla-howto.xml If you could please attach a gdb backtrace and strace output it would be really helpful.
We can't do much without a strace/gdb, since we can't reproduce it...
