hi, the latest vlc ebuild in the tree which has a alpha keyword in it is vlc-0.6.2-r1. maybe you could add you keyword to a more recent version? we try get vlc-0.8.1-r1 into stable in the future, try to mark it ~alpha. that would make it possible for us to do some generall cleanup. thanks
