Created attachment 57279 [details, diff] patch for the ebuild in portage tree (r4) to install new driver version bump from version 51 to version 54 of the drivers.. have fun!
Did it improve the driver for you? Dit it break the driver? Can you still use the driver? Is everything changed or are things working like before?
From previous version this one seems to be more stable on my card. According to the changelog on developer site, since pf51 (last present in portege tree) major addon are the wep support for acx111 chipset cards and the fix of some oops related to frequency change and usb link faliure. Behind the scene lot of works about code cleaning and fixing compile issues with older compilers.
According to chaosite the 54 version still has some problems (cannot detect access points when rate is set) .. I will bump it to 55 when it comes out.
Also, note that working ACX111 WEP was introduced in pf51, so it is in portage.
as u wish ^_^ anyway i'm able to scan and associate to AP in managed mode with this pf54 using my card vendor firmware and fixed rate (the one installed with the ebuild doesn't seems to work for me). reading the developer mailing list i found that a patch about the fixed rate crash that affected pf53 has been included in pf 54
