https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/sys-kernel/git-sources : > It seems that version 6.2.11 is available upstream, while the latest version in the Gentoo tree is 6.3_rc5. Both statements are true. But, should the package be considered as outdated (6.3_rc5 > 6.2.11)?
This looks like a bug with repology markings for this package. When you go to [1], and search for Gentoo, you will see that all the versions of sys-kernel/git-sources are marked as outdated. Repology upstream are nice and react quickly when contacted. [1] https://repology.org/tools/project-by?repo=gentoo&name_type=srcname&target_page=project_versions&name=sys-kernel/git-sources
The case is at latest version *number*. I think, soko says "latest version" in time it takes "latest stable version" from Repology instead.
Yes, with new 6.4_rc1 there is no sign like "6.3.1 is available upstream". You were right, Arthur.
