Netbeans 3.6 was released early last year. It has been in Portage for some time, but keyworded ~x86 until now. I have searched through bugzilla, and cannot find any open bugs with this particular version. Hence, I request that version 3.6 be marked stable on x86 at least. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
I think that we should push 4.0 to stable as soon as possible and make 4.1 the testing version when it's done.
The Netbeans 4.0 ebuild is from source so we dropped all the keywords for which we could not test. So please arches test and add your keywords.
As SPARC does not currently have a valid 1.4.2 JDK, we cannot test at this time.
Same problem here.
tomcat 5.0.28 does not build on ppc because "com.sun.net.ssl" is not present in the IBM JDK (5.0.27 does however build). dev-java/jakarta-jstl-1.1.2 fails with the following error: [javac] Found 1 system error and issued 2 warnings: [javac] *** Semantic Warning: I/O warning: "No such file or directory" while trying to open /var/tmp/portage/jakarta-jstl-1.1.2/work/jakarta-taglibs-standard-1.1.2-src/standard/${xalan.jar}. [javac] *** Semantic Warning: I/O warning: "No such file or directory" while trying to open /opt/ibm-jdk-bin-1.4.2/jre/lib/rt.jar. [javac] *** Semantic Error: You need to modify your classpath, sourcepath, bootclasspath, and/or extdirs setup. Jikes could not find package "java.lang" in: Can we work around these problems in any way or is ppc toast?
(In reply to comment #5) > > Can we work around these problems in any way or is ppc toast? http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21735#c2 The jakarta-jstl ebuild probably needs tome adjusting then.
since I just added ~ia64 to some of the prereqs tonight, I don't think this is going to be marked stable on ia64 soon. we'll get to this eventually (usual stabilization cycle) but I'm removing ia64 from the cc list for now.
Netbeans 5.5 has been committed to tree. Since this is the current version of Netbeans. Work will not be done on older versions. There is already a pre-alpha 6.0 ebuild in java-migration-overlay that fordfrog has re-bumped from 5.0, and addressed the new deps and etc. Closing this bug.
