Please post your emerge info. Works fine here.
Comment 2 Andrew Gaydenko 2005-04-24 18:03:30 UTC
emerge info is below. The thing is I have tried to install the app manually (./configure; make; make install) with the same result.

Comment 5 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-26 10:41:06 UTC
Found out, seems like kde's implementation of pkg-config m4 check doesn't work exactly as the standard one, so that the configure script break instead of doing what is supposed to.
I'm searching a solution for it.
Comment 6 Andrew Gaydenko 2005-05-01 02:37:30 UTC
Diego,

I have tried to install the app manually with the same result. Is there some workaround to install manually?
Comment 7 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-07 10:55:45 UTC
Should be fixed now in cvs, wait a bit, resync and it should work. I've also changed it upstream so next version would behave better.
Comment 8 Andrew Gaydenko 2005-05-08 06:08:16 UTC
Unfortunately, still doesn't work after re-syncing and re-emerging:

For me it works both with and without snmp useflag right now....

Something is not working as it should...
can you re-post the new configure output?

Comment 14 Johannes Hirte 2005-05-21 06:39:41 UTC
the problem isn't x86-specific, same here on AMD64
Comment 15 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-25 07:51:59 UTC
I just tried emerging that in a clean system, the G/FreeBSD development box,
and it installed fine, no problems at all.
Can you check that you're using the latest revision of the knetload ebuild?

Comment 16 Andrew Gaydenko 2005-05-25 08:07:49 UTC
Diego,

I'm sure (I'm syncing daily).

At any case, I don't think the problem is ebuild-related: manual installation of
the tarball has the same result.
Comment 17 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-25 08:13:10 UTC
Can you provide the config.log of the manual ./configure ?
I'm trying to find out why this breaks, but I can't reproduce it at all.

manual ./configure log

Attached. Probably, you are looking for this fragment:

fast creating doc/Makefile
fast creating src/Makefile
can't open ./src/Makefile.in: No such file or directory
fast creating src/icons/Makefile
can't open ./src/icons/Makefile.in: No such file or directory

No I was talking about the actual config.log file after ./configure

config.log for manual ./configure

Aha...

config.log is attached.
Comment 21 Anthony Gorecki 2005-05-26 22:46:23 UTC
Indeed, I've encountered this is as well. It installs the documentation, and
nothing else.
Comment 22 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-27 09:37:53 UTC
Try with latest ebuild i just committed, it should work (I hope). Seems like
auto* screwups sometimes.

Comment 23 Gregorio Guidi (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-27 10:19:24 UTC
Probably it's enough to remove the 'subdirs' file, which seems to be wrong.

Comment 24 Andrew Gaydenko 2005-05-27 11:09:27 UTC
What is common lag between commiting and ebuild file in portage tree availability?
Comment 25 Andrew Gaydenko 2005-05-28 00:32:15 UTC
Last ebuild works for me (the issue reporter). Thanks!
Comment 26 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-28 03:52:11 UTC
Ok for next alpha I'll use another script to package the sources, so that this
can be avoided.
