I've since rebuilt crypt-primes' dependencies, dev-perl/math-pari and dev-perl/crypt-random, none of which had any problems. I have perl-5.8.5-r5 installed.

Any ideas?

Actually - yes :) What version of crypt-random do you have installed. I'd swear this package gave me the same problem until I bumped crypt-random (could be wrong, but iirc that was the key). If so, we can bump the dep for this (thought I had actually)
Comment 2 Stuart Shelton 2005-05-03 12:47:22 UTC
Yup, right you are ;)

Upgrading to the (~x86) dev-perl/crypt-random-1.25 from the (x86) dev-perl/crypt-random-1.13 fixed the problem.

Cheers!

Sorry to take so long in closing it, I left it open so I'd remember to bump
crypt-random :)
