Description Darren Meyer 2005-04-23 07:21:08 UTC
Attempting to emerge scite-1.6.3: scite package requires gtk+. Unmasking gtk+-1.x results in the following error:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 2) x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r10 to /
>>> md5 files   ;-) ChangeLog

!!! Digest verification Failed:
!!!    /usr/portage/x11-libs/gtk+/gtk+-1.2.10-r10.ebuild
!!! Reason: Filesize does not match recorded size

>>> Please ensure you have sync'd properly. Please try 'emerge sync' and
>>> optionally examine the file(s) for corruption. A sync will fix most cases.

Running emerge sync did not fix this case. This prevents further testing on these packages.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. add ppc-macos keyword to scite-1.6.3
2. add ppc-macos keyword to one of gtk+-1.2.10-r*
3. attempt 'emerge scite' or 'emerge gtk+'

Actual Results:
Emerge failed due to file size error

Expected Results:
Emerge should have attempted to compile gtk+, then scite

Using latest updates from Apple, lastest developer tools. I'm new to the platform, I don't know what
else may be relevant; contact me if more info is required.

emerge info OUTPUT:
!!! Relying on the shell to locate gcc, this may break
!!! DISTCC, installing gcc-config and setting your current gcc
!!! profile will fix this

We do not support scite because of the dependency on gtk, which has not yet been resolved. Sorry.
