Upgrading from pptpd 1.2.1 to 1.2.3 I cant login with vpn.
ppp version is 2.4.3-r1

From syslog:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade pptpd from 1.2.1 to 1.2.3
2. Connect with vpn-ppp
3. Fails to connect

Actual Results:  
Can't log in

Can log in

please do the following:

cd /usr/portage/net-dialup/pptpd
ebuild pptpd-1.2.3.ebuild unpack
nano /var/tmp/portage/pptpd-1.2.3/work/pptpd-1.2.3/plugins/patchlevel.h
...change 2.4.2 to 2.4.3 and save
ebuild pptpd-1.2.3.ebuild merge

try it and tell me if it worked.
