Stable emacs-cvs installs /usr/bin/emacs.emacs-22.0.50 and /usr/bin/emacs-22.0.50 too. These are identical (duplicate) files, not symlinks. I think the second one (emacs-22.0.50) is unnecessary. Note that in case you remove this file you also need to update the .desktop file. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
They are not symlinks but hardlinks. What bothers you if you have a hardlink to emacs.emacs-22.0.50? (It refers to the same file and doesn't take much file space anyways)
