Description Akos Ladanyi 2005-04-19 23:49:18 UTC
Stable emacs' desktop entry appears under the 'Accessories' menu item in the gnome menu, while emacs-cvs' one appears under 'Other'. I think 'Programming' would be a better place for both (Categories=Application;Development; in the .desktop file). Note that gVim places its entry also there. And as I mentioned in a previous bug the right place for desktop entries is /usr/share/applications. The /usr/share/gnome/apps/* is deprecated since ages.

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for the bug report. Fixed in CVS. (All the other editors
in app-editors category sets Categories=Application;Development;)
