Description Cedar McKay 2005-04-19 23:15:32 UTC
Sorry if this is a dup. I see lots of bugs filed about failed compiles. But none seem exactly like mine (to me anyway. I'm running pretty plain gentoo-sources-2.6.11-r4

I try:
LIRC_OPTS="--with-driver=atiusb" emerge lirc
(I get a similar error with just "emerge lirc")

and after some compiling I get:

Comment 1 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-22 10:34:49 UTC
what about lirc-0.7.1?
Comment 2 Cedar McKay 2005-04-22 10:51:48 UTC
There is no ebuild for 7.1 as far as I know, are you suggesting I install manually from source?

best,
Cedar

I'm afraid it didn't help:

I have the same problem. My compile shows a couple of possible problems at the start:

>>> md5 src_uri ;-) lirc-0.7.0.tar.bz2

You should update your `aclocal.m4' by running aclocal.

Comment 6 Heinrich Wendel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-23 03:39:07 UTC
please try 0.7.2
Comment 7 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-02-05 08:45:37 UTC
Try with 0.8.0_pre3 and reopen if you still have issues.
