Sorry if this is a dup. I see lots of bugs filed about failed compiles. But none seem exactly like mine (to me anyway. what about lirc-0.7.1?
There is no ebuild for 7.1 as far as I know, are you suggesting I install manually from source? best, Cedar

please try 0.7.2
Try with 0.8.0_pre3 and reopen if you still have issues.
