Emerge of libtool-1.5.14 fails during the initial src_unpack phase while trying to extract or possibly execute ltmain.sh

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge libtool
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
segfault:

Expected Results:  
Installed

Small server doing LAMP, nothing too intense.  Installed from stage2 several 
months ago.  No problems upgrading other packages.

Portage 2.0.51.19 (default-linux/x86/2005.0, gcc-3.3.5-20050130, glibc-2.3.4.

i doubt it has anything to do with libtool

figure out what exactly is segfaulting, and then figure out why that package is segfaulting ... the error message posted doesnt help ... `dmesg` may have something

Delving further I have found that autoconf is b0rken, so nothing to do with libtool or the ebuild.
