I have an MSI K8Tneo-fsr motherboard which uses a via chipset, including, ofcourse via agp. "lspci" lists "0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8385 [K8T800 AGP] Host Bridge (rev 01)" this as the agp device, however when configuring the kernel there is no option to enable it at all. The only option that exists is for something by intel. The strange thing, though, is that "glxgears" will run at around 850 or more fps, which is about right for the card I'm using (radeon 7200). Anyway, here's glxinfo and  "dmesg | grep agpgart"

No sure what other info would be usefull, although I'm willing to provide any that's needed.

VIA AGPGART/DRI drivers are currently not included in Linux, however development efforts are underway, see http://dri.sourceforge.net (try the x11-drm ebuild). Also, VIA just released some open source drivers which may work for you.  We'll include in-kernel support after the drivers have been submitted to the mainline kernel.
