Since qemu-7.2.0 went stable, I am facing really slow disk I/O with a qcow2 image connected via virtio with the option detect-zeroes=unmap. 

Windows 10 guests are so slow, that you can not install anything new. Disk I/O is measured in seconds. 

Linux guests sometimes corrupt the file system.

The issue is known at the qemu project. See the following URL:
