Description Sean Sullivan 2005-04-15 17:03:20 UTC
All I have to do is add CONFIG_NETFILTER to my kernel and I get the following error:

kernel panic - not syncing: PCI-DMA: high address but no IOMMU

My kernel config can be seen here: http://sfsullivan.homelinux.org

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add CONFIG_NETFILTER=y
2. make and install kernel
3. reboot

Actual Results:
kernel panic - not syncing: PCI-DMA: high address but no IOMMU

Expected Results:
Clean boot.

Oh. It happens directly after:

loading networking modules for ath0
modules: iwconfig essidnet iptunnel ifconfig dhcpcd apipa
     iwconfig provides wireless
     iwconfig provides interface
     dhcpcd provides dhcp
configuring wireless network for ath0
kernel panic.....

oops: direct link to kernel config: http://sfsullivan.homelinux.org/kernel-config.txt
Comment 3 Sean Sullivan 2005-04-17 15:08:17 UTC
This is fixed in the current kernel: 2.6.11-r6.
