Description Francesco Lamonica 2005-04-14 07:32:44 UTC
I'm using qt designer from qt 3.3.4, when you open a new widget there are lots of tiny dots representing the grid where to put the qt objects within the new widget. If you try to resize it all the grid is just a complete mess of black streaks, as if there was no repaint going on. This happens the first time the qtdesigner is open, if you change virtual desktop and go back to it, all is fine. On the same issue (but it takes place every time) if you select from the left pane the input widgets pane or the common widgets one (one with a scrollbar on the right) and play with the scrollbar the texts representing widget names are displayed wrongly if displayed at all, which seems to me the same kind of no-repaint error i described above.

Reproducible: Always

Are you using any xorg experimental extension? Have you tried with different video drivers?

No reply from reporter.
Comment 3 Francesco Lamonica 2005-07-19 08:16:56 UTC
sorry, i missed your previous email, i am using nvidia drivers and no Xorg
extensions. (both from stable AMD64)
The component pane issue is still there, while the resize with the new Xorg and
nvidia drivers is working unless you resize the height or move around the
widget.
Do you think is a driver/xorg issue?
thanks

Have you tried using the "nv" driver?
