2. emerge it
3. see that it fails

The following should fix it: `find /usr/lib -iname "*\.la" -exec sed -i -r -e "s:/var/tmp/portage/.*/image/:/:g" '{}' \;`

If you meant to run this before emerging it, then it does not work for me... same error again..

I see. What if you replace /usr/lib with /usr/kde ?
