Currently the livecd is based on isolinux 1.75, which hangs on certain Toshiba 
laptops (including mine :) ) - making installation of Gentoo Linux impossible.

The website for isolinux stats that 1.76 (which is the latest) has fixes for 
this problem..

Try the "2002122100" livecd from 
http://www.gentoo.org/dyn/experimental/livecd/. It uses isolinux 2.0. Post 
results (good/bad) here. Thanks for the bug report :)
