The cursor disappears with the following conditions: * Installing the last stable version for GTK3, x11-libs/gtk+-3.24.35 * Using Wayland * Using a custom cursor theme Changing the cursor theme for the default one works as a temporary workaround. I found a fix in a different upstream bug: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk/-/issues/5365

Beg pardon for the 'emerge --info' comment, its been awhile since I used gentoo bugzilla. I will review bugzilla documentation. USE CASE: Youtube viewing with firefox. Since Dec 4th sync/update mouse cursor disappears and stays disappeared within FF window with some streaming sites. Masking x11-libs/gtk+-3.24.35 solves the problem.
