When using the Plasma (KDE) desktop with mesa-22.2, users often encounter freezes. It has been analysed and fixed upstream in 22.3. (See included URL.) I would suggest stabilizing 22.3.

Same here. Plasma is frequently freezing.

Currently, mesa-22.3 does not compile due to bug https://bugs.gentoo.org/884193

With media-libs/mesa-22.3.7-r1 the very same problem is still existing.

Just had another freeze this morning :-(

Alexander, it sounds like you may have a different issue. Please report a new bug if you're still experiencing this problem.
