Description Tom Fogal 2005-04-11 20:36:56 UTC
Please find attached gravit-0.3.0 ebuild.

"Gravit is a gravity simulator which runs under Linux and Windows. It's released under the GNU General Public License which makes it free. It uses simple newtonian physics using the Barnes-Hut N-body algorithm. Although the main goal of Gravit is to be as accurate as possible, it also creates beautiful looking gravity patterns. It records the history of each particle so it can animate and display a path of its travels. At any stage you can rotate your view in 3D and zoom in and out. Gravit uses OpenGL with SDL, SDL_ttf and SDL_image."

I suggest sci-misc/gravit; this is really a scientific simulation program. Depends on OpenGL, SDL, SDL_ttf, and SDL_image.

will download, build, and install. see comment.

"make install" not included in makefile; this ebuild will require a patch
before it works (it already references the patch).

Adds a 'make install' target to the makefile.

Defaults to install gravit to /usr/bin/

gravit-0.4.2.ebuild

this is an update to gravit which i believe should go in games-simulation
category or sci-engineering but that's not a category in the portage tree yea,
then games-simulation would fit this.. try it out it's a cool gravity
simulator.

Hello, The Gentoo Team would like to firstly thank you for your ebuild
submission. We also apologize for not being able to accommodate you in a timely
manner. There are simply too many new packages.

Allow me to use this opportunity to introduce you to Gentoo Sunrise. The
sunrise overlay[1] is a overlay for Gentoo which we allow trusted users to
commit to and all users can have ebuilds reviewed by Gentoo devs for entry
into the overlay. So, the sunrise team is suggesting that you look into this
and submit your ebuild to the overlay where even *you* can commit to. =)

Thanks,
On behalf of the Gentoo Sunrise Team,
Justin.
