when emerging Qt, emerge failed with error:
qsound_x11.cpp
in file included from kernel/qapplication_x11.cpp:70  (include qobjectlist.h)
kernel/qobjectlist.h:53 : internal compiler error: segmentation fault.

emerge failed.

Sorry, but these kind of problems are either due to hardware faults, or to the computer going out or RAM, we cannot do much for it.

By the way, always attach the output of 'emerge info' when reporting bugs.
