Description stefan.ihringer 2005-04-11 11:24:42 UTC
I'm running evolution-2.2.1.1 and an unmasked GNOME-2.10.

While my GNOME session is being started, evolution-alarm-notify crashes. Unlike other crash dialogs, the one that pops up here ("evolution-alarm-notify has quit unexpectedly....") doesn't have a button to restart the application. I can't reproduce the crash, however.

Starting evolution works fine and ps shows an (automatically restarted?) evolution-alarm-notify:
11011 ? Ss 0:00 /usr/libexec/evolution/2.2/evolution-alarm-notify --sm-config-prefix /evolution-alarm-notify-URbyeT/ --sm-client-id 117f000001000111302967300000109960008 --screen 0

Do you have this issue with the latest unmasked version of Evolution (2.2.3-r3)?
Comment 2 Jason Harley 2005-11-23 09:52:14 UTC
I had theh same problem with 2.2.3-r3, I unmasked 2.4.1 this morning with the
same result.

Willing to provide any additional info.

Comment 3 Joe McCann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-01-07 10:36:14 UTC
This works for me, is it still a problem with the latest version of evolution in portage?
Comment 4 stefan.ihringer 2006-01-08 03:38:58 UTC
No, I haven't had this problem for a while. So it might have "solved itself" :-)
Comment 5 John N. Laliberte (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-14 12:51:56 UTC
please upgrade to evolution-2.6 ( just marked stable with GNOME 2.14 ) and re-open the bug if you can still reproduce it.
