Need to file a PR adding yourself into metadata.xml like at https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers/User_Guide#Proxied_maintainer_in_metadata.xml.

Once that gets merged, you're officially a proxied maintainer.

juippis usually then files the proxied maintainer bugs for anyone in metadata.xml every Sunday. I'll close this bug just to not jam up the automation at all.
