Description Marcel Karras 2002-10-07 05:28:00 UTC
Hello,

I just tried to emerge xmms-1.2.7-r13 and it worked fine to me, but the attempt
to start xmms ends in the following error:

/usr/lib/xmms/Input/libavi4xmms.so: undefined symbol: endl__FR7ostream
Available CPU flags: fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca
cmov pat pse36 mmx fxsr syscall mmxext 3dnowext 3dnow
1009 MHz AMD Athlon(tm) Processor processor detected
Cannot load alsa library: /usr/lib/xmms/Input/libavi4xmms.so: undefined symbol:
endl__FR7ostream

I looked around on www.xmms.org and found a discussion issued to this problem. I
couldn't really fix it. So I went back to r12 of xmms and it worked fine - no
unresolved problems.

Should be fixed in -r14. For any C++ plugin, xmms should be linked to libstdc++.
