I have been reduced to downloading the alphas and releases of OO2 on doze to help in the drive to get OO2 production ready. While that is OK for work, I don't run doze at home and would love to be able to experiment and help out with getting OO2 stable and business as soon as possible. After all it is certainly the number 1 reason for (non-)adoption in businesses. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. feel powerless on Gentoo! 2. 3. Actual Results: No OO2 for Gentoo Expected Results: ... an ebuild that would be buggy but would be a step in making Gentoo the first distro to have stable OO2 None needed...
Reporter: Please avoid using any slang or non-obvious abbreviations when reporting bugs. Assigning this to the openoffice folks, since as far as i can gather "OO2" is in reference to the OpenOffice.org 2.0 pre release stuff.
openoffice-bin HAS OOo 2.0 pre-versions (the last one is 1.9.91), it's just in package.mask, so if you want to use it add >=app-office/openoffice-bin-1.9.87 to /etc/portage/package.unmask Source version on the other hand won't happen for a while, too much trouble / work for little gain, the release is still some months off.
