The Compaq JRe for the Alpha (1.3.1), seems to be missing files. When emerged, it goes without error, but gives errors when java-config tries to configure it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge =dev-java/compaq-jre-1.3.1-r3 2. java-config -S compaq-jre-1.3.1 Actual Results: javac not found at /opt/compaq-jre-1.3.1/bin/javac or /opt/compaq-jre-1.3.1/jre/bin/javac javadoc not found at /opt/compaq-jre-1.3.1/bin/javadoc or /opt/compaq-jre-1.3.1/jre/bin/javadoc jar not found at /opt/compaq-jre-1.3.1/bin/jar or /opt/compaq-jre-1.3.1/jre/bin/jar rmic not found at /opt/compaq-jre-1.3.1/bin/rmic or /opt/compaq-jre-1.3.1/jre/bin/rmic THIS SYSTEM VM IS NOT SUFFICIENT, REQUIRED BINARIES WERE NOT FOUND System Virtual Machine set You may want to update your enviroment by running: "/usr/sbin/env-update && source /etc/profile" Expected Results: It should of not given any errors and just told me this: System Virtual Machine set You may want to update your enviroment by running: "/usr/sbin/env-update && source /etc/profile" Don't think it really matters seeing the the compaq java files are installed via an RPM, but I'm running an PC164LX (LX164), running at 599MHz (ev56 CPU)
