i'm sure you mean 2005.0, there is no 2005.1 yet. did you try it with 2004.3 and did it work? please also include your `emerge --info` as well as `emerge -p nvidia-glx nvidia-kernel` thanks
This problem is fixed in 1.0.6629-r4 (multi-agp support) which is stable on x86. I suggest we push this (or a newer .7* version) into stable on amd64.
herbie: in 2005.0 <media-video/nvidia-glx-1.0.6629-r3 is in package.mask, i think this user doesn't have a 2005.0 profile. btw, -r4 is out of portage, -r5 is the latest stable on amd64 atm
yeah, but this bug is about nvidia-kernel not glx. I assume the user made a typo is the first line of the report, says kernel in the summary and further down in his report. I can reproduce this exact error with nvidia-kernel-1.0.6629-r1 and can confirm that nvidia-kernel-6629-r4 emerges cleanly. -r4 inroduced a multi-agp patch that fixes this error on -mm and 2.6.11 kernels. This is included in the .7* releases.
nvidia-kernel-1.0.6629-r4 is now stable, this should fix your issue. please reopen if that's not the case
