Created attachment 833129 [details] scancode-toolkit output LICENSE="GPL-3" The license notice sloppily implies GPLv3-only. After running scancode-toolkit, I couldn't find anything GPLv3-only, rather most files are GPLv3+, a few are GPLv2+, some LGPL-2+, some LGPL-2.1+ and some documentation is under GFDLv1.1+ or LPPLv1.0+ Therefore, should be: LICENSE="GPL-3+ LGPL-2+ LGPL-2.1+ FDL-1.1+ LPPL-1.0+" (LPPL-1.0+ isn't in the tree).
I see LPPL only in doc/tex/gretl.bst, which says: % This program can be redistributed and/or modified under the terms % of the LaTeX Project Public License Distributed from CTAN % archives in directory macros/latex/base/lppl.txt; either The license referred to is LPPL-1.3c. % version 1 of the License, or any later version. AFAICS the LPPL never had a version 1. The earliest published version was 1.0 from 1999-03-01. So, I'd suggest that we list LPPL-1.3c in LICENSE.
