Description Douglas Robertson 2005-04-04 13:09:52 UTC
Sysdeo is a Tomcat Launcher plugin for Eclipse. The plug allows web-based applications (Servlet/JSP) to be developed and more integrated with the IDE. As per the other Eclipse plug-ins, I recommend this go into the dev-util portage tree as "dev-util/eclipse-sysdeo-bin"

Sorry for being very slow on this one. Could you please rewrite this ebuild to
compile sysdeo from source code?

As we are a from-source distribution, we give preferential treatment to
from-source ebuilds and only include -bin ones in cases where compilation from
source is either impossible due to lack of sources, or technically completely
infeasible.

With Eclipse, it is usually easy enough to install the binary version directly
using the Update Manager, so we don't see that a -bin ebuild helps our users to
any appreciable extent; at least it doesn't justify the maintenance cost it
incurs on us.

Mark as WONT FIX, ebuild is old and as Karl pointed out, binary stuff can be installed directly from Eclipse.
