I have been using the sys-power/hibernate-script for some time now on my amd64 platform and have wondered why it does not have an amd64 keyword.
Software Suspend2 does not yet work on amd64 however the hibernate-script supports the other suspend methods that are working on amd64 arch. 
I believe adding an amd64 keyword to the ebuild would prevent confusing about weather or not this script works at all on amd64 arch. I have done this in an overlay and have used it for 2 months or more with no ill effects at all.
