Description lamekain 2005-04-04 02:19:32 UTC
Using gaim-1.2.0-r2. Everything works just fine, but gaim seg faults after a random amount of time. The crash happens in the background without an apparent reason.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start gaim
2. Wait for a bit (about an hour or something)
3.

Actual Results:
Gaim seg faulted

Expected Results:
Stay alive :)

Stop using gaim-rhythmbox and try to duplicate it.
Comment 3 Howard 2005-04-05 18:45:02 UTC
I'm also experiencing this problem. Gaim never stays running for very long. I don't use any plugins that don't get installed by the standard ebuild. However, I'm on amd64 not x86. Should I start a new bug report for this?

Howard, unless your backtrace is very similar, then yes file a new bug.

Still waiting for user to duplicate without gaim-rhythmbox plugin.
Comment 6 lamekain 2005-04-12 09:43:13 UTC
Sorry for the delay. Changed location from Finland to Germany and getting a working network connection took some time :).

I disabled the rhythmbox-plugin and gaim has not crashed since. Probably the reason lays there.
