omniEvents is an implementation of the CORBA Events Service for omniORB. I've created a very simple ebuild for it. I can't really test it beyond installing it at the moment because I haven't written any code using omniEvents yet but I'm going to start now. It should work fine anyway.

Was a bit hasty there! The previous ebuild would sometimes fail to compile
because compiling with -j2 seems to cause a problem. I've now fixed it to
compile with -j1. The documentation and examples were also missing before,
these have now been included. I've also written an init script for it.

omnievents-2.6.2 added to portage. I cleaned up your ebuild slightly regarding
MY_PV and changed the name to lowercase which is required by policy. Thanks for
your work.
