Sorry, I'm not sure this is right place to report this little bug, but looks like command syntax to control maillist (like subscribe) was changed while documentation on website was not updated. Looks like now we should use
  listname+subscribe-digest@gentoo.org
instead of
  listname-digest-subscribe@gentoo.org
and so on.

BTW, the GWN has this subscribe all over.
I assume the new syntax applies to the mailde GWN as well.
