I'v trying to spin a raspi2b vm with virt-manager on a ppc64le Talos 2 host. Is UEFI booting supported on that platform?
Not sure to be honest (but there is a /usr/share/qemu/edk2-arm-code.fd). Anyway it's virt-manager which configures the vm depending on the machine type, so it shouldn't error out anyway. If I set machine type to virt and check "Customize configuration before install" I have three options for Firmware: Default UEFI UEFI armv7l:/usr/share/qemu/edk2-arm-code.fd If at this point I change the machine type to raspi2b I still have the same three options, but unfortunately I get another error when clicking on "Begin installation": Unable to complete install: 'internal error: Required option 'modelName' is not set for PCI controller with index '1', model 'pcie-root-port' and modelName 'none''
Btw the goal is to use direct kernel boot.

Not sure if virt-manager is the correct upstream for this issue, but I've reported it to them as well: https://github.com/virt-manager/virt-manager/issues/449
Thanks! I imagine they'll have a better understanding than me of what should be happening. I am watching it.
