When using pdns with postgresql, pdns will fail after upgrade. As per https://doc.powerdns.com/authoritative/upgrading.html , the schema needs to be updated: === The new Catalog Zones feature comes with a mandatory schema change for the gsql database backends. See files named 4.3.x_to_4.7.0_schema.X.sql for your database backend in our Git repo, tarball, or distro-specific documentation path. === However that file is not available (not even in pdns-4.7.0.tar.bz2) Maybe an upstream failure to provide it? However it might be a good idea to not yet update to 4.7.0 as long as the schema can not be updated. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use pdns with postgresql 2. Update to 4.7.0 3. pdns fails
Seems to be fixed upstream: https://github.com/PowerDNS/pdns/issues/12108 Now how to make sure this arrives here? :D
Fixed in 4.7.2
