I just tried to unpack the file.. it seems the file is corrupt.
Comment 2 folken 2005-04-02 07:11:04 UTC
seems to be broken upstream:

http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/m4/m4-1.4.3.tar.bz2 matches in size and md5sum.
But is a broken file.
Comment 3 Alexander Jenisch 2005-04-02 07:12:30 UTC
confirmed.
Comment 4 Sven Wegener gentoo-dev 2005-04-02 08:53:55 UTC
Our mirror script seems to have downloaded a bad version of the file. I've set
up manual distribution of the file to our mirrors. It should show up in a couple
of hours.

Comment 7 Eric Herot 2005-04-02 18:33:44 UTC
Something about the way this bug is categorized is causing it not to show up when a search is conducted for 'm4'

Someone may want to fix that if they get to it before the package fix is finished propagating.
Comment 8 Eric Herot 2005-04-02 18:36:32 UTC
Oops, that'd be because it's marked as resolved, my bad.
Comment 9 Brian Pankey 2005-04-07 19:53:59 UTC
i just emerged sync'd not 5 seconds ago and i STILL get the same digest error...today being april 7th :/
Comment 10 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2005-04-07 20:07:18 UTC
mirrors fix themselves eventually

use a different one or just grab it from our main one on gentoo.osuosl.org
Comment 11 folken 2005-04-08 03:23:43 UTC
perhabs you haven't deleted the file in your distfiles? You need to delete it,
as the file that was on the mirrors seems to have been broken.
