Description Nicolas Vilz 2005-04-02 06:05:30 UTC
When I try to emerge mod_php 4.3.10a in conjunction with apache 2.0.53 and mysql 4.1.10a, the configure-script stops on following point:

Configuring SAPI modules
checking for AOLserver support... no
checking for Apache 1.x module support via DSO through APXS... no
checking for Apache 1.x module support... no
checking for member fd in BUFF *... no
checking for mod_charset compatibility option... no
checking for Apache 2.0 filter-module support via DSO through APXS... no
checking for Apache 2.0 handler-module support via DSO through APXS... configure: error: ZTS currently requires working POSIX threads. We were unable to verify that your system supports Pthreads.

!!! Please attach the config.log to your bug report:
!!! /tmp/portage/mod_php-4.3.10-r1/work/php-4.3.10/config.log

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge mod_php
2.
3.

Actual Results:
configure stops on trying to check for Apache 2.0 handler-module support via DSO
through APXS

Expected Results:
merging correctly mod_php 4.3.10-r1 with mysql-client 4.1.10a in apache 2.0.53

one hour before i merged mod_php 4.3.10-r1 with mysql 4.0.24 and apache 2.0.53
and it worked... it really worked... therefore its perhaps a mysql-php-problem..

go and use apache without threads.
Comment 5 Sebastian Bergmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-05 22:01:30 UTC
Please test with the latest version of PHP that is available in portage (currently) PHP 4.3.11 and reopen if the problem persists.
