i noticed no 0.8 version of media-plugins/gst-plugins-gnomevfs is stable on mips.

I am trying to remove all of gstreamer 0.6 series from portage, and mips is marked as stable for gst-plugins-gnomevfs-0.6.4 so its blocking.

Thanks for pointing this out...at some point I need to go through all of the gst plugins and see what works and what doesn't.  Thus far I have only been concentrating on those that directly dep upon gnome being keyworded.  By the way, if you choose to not carry mips keywords for gst-plugins-alsa anymore, I won't cry...since on our only supported machines with an alsa driver, alsa userland is totally broken and we have to use oss emulation for everything anyway.  I just added alsa to the mips use.mask, so repoman shouldn't complain.
