Description Botykai Zsolt 2005-04-01 12:16:06 UTC
Just realised that xfmedia doesn't work anymore.
After I start it from CLI, this show up:
$ xfmedia
Using netbios name BOTYKAI-ZSOLT.
Using workgroup BOSS.
Then it hangs.
$ ps aux | grep xfmedia
bzs      28316 17.0  0.0      0     0 pts/1    Zl+  21:49   0:00 [xfmedia] <defunct>
bzs      28319  0.0  5.3  34844 11920 ?        Ss   21:49   0:00 xfmedia
bzs      28321  0.0  0.2   1876   592 pts/2    S+   21:49   0:00 grep xfmedi

I tried to clear its config and cache files, reemerged, tried the-not-in-portage 0.7.1 version, but it's the same.
I'll attach a gzipped strace output.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.

Comment 2 Botykai Zsolt 2005-04-13 05:56:19 UTC
I had recognised that it's related to alsa-lib 1.0.8 so after upgrading to alsa-lib-1.0.9_rc2 it just worked again.
Maybe You should add alsa-lib-1.0.9_rc2 as dependency?
