My hardened-sources-2.6.11 kernel always returns this when trying to '/etc/init.d/net.ath0 start': * Starting ath0 * Bringing up ath0 * Configuration not set for ath0 - assuming dhcp * dhcp * ath0 does not exist [ !! ] It used to work in 2.6.7 before I unmerged it trying to narrow down this problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1./etc/init.d/net.ath0 start 2. 3. Actual Results: * Bringing up ath0 * Configuration not set for ath0 - assuming dhcp * dhcp * ath0 does not exist [ !! ] Expected Results: ath0 network connection
Whoops, I somehow didn't have any kind of PCMCIA support compiled into that kernel. Sorry about that. Now I'm stuck at the same place I was with 2.6.7. Trying to start net.ath0 always times out. Running wpa_supplicant manually tell me "No suitable AP found." I've tried all kinds of stuff with help from the forums. Should I open a new bug?
I'm closig this is it's no longer valid - open a new bug for the wpa_supplicant problem.
