Why was only amd64 stabilised?
@asturm: We need to wait until sci-libs/pdal gets stabilized on x86. See bug 873793. A stable request for x86 will follow if sci-libs/pdal is done.

Thanks for checking back; the problem with continued support for unslotted legacy versions - besides problematic upper-bound version constraints - when newer versions are overshadowing them in ~arch is that they do not really get the testing that the latest version available gets. So to some extent stabilisation process is blind.
