after updating gal to version gal-0.20 evolution complains about not finding
libgal.so.19

now I remerged evolution, ebuild seemed to be ok but I still get the libgal error.


how to get evolution running again?

Do you have libgal-0.19.3 still installed ?

no, uninstalled the old version

problem seems solved

as somebody in the forum suggested:
I reemerged gtkhtml and now evolution works again

I'll close it with that.

Problem probably was that you removed libgal-0.19. Reemerged evolution to
compensate, but didn't reemerge gtkhtml which also depends on libgal and is
depended upon by evolution.
