Trying to compile FreeTDS with odbc USE flag, without unixODBC installed is unsuccessful, emerging unixODBC first lets FreeTDS compile. unixODBC should probably be added to the ebuild as a dependancy

Yep, you're right. unixODBC should be merged first to make sure FreeTDS compiles without errors.

The dependency was fixed in the PHP overlay (link:
http://svn.gnqs.org/projects/gentoo-php-overlay/ ) and FreeTDS was revbumped to
