Could kdesu be patched with Ubuntu's patches?
Ubuntu uses sudo instead of su. Here is the discussion:

Usually we don't include and maintain patches for kde that were not already accepted by kde developers.

The patch seems quite generic though, you should submit it to http://bugs.kde.org for discussion.

KDE devs won't accept it. Perhaps this should be a USE flag?
