Description immolo 2022-09-18 23:19:44 UTC
When enabling the USEFLAG elogid while using mold on procps then the compile will error out with 'mold: fatal: library not found: elogind'

When building without elogind then it compiles fine and the same for filtering mold with elogind.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enable mold ldflags
2. emerge -va sys-process/procps
Actual Results:
See build log

Where are these "mimalloc" warnings coming from? They make your log very difficult to read.

Currently investigating this with ru314, after some digging I have an idea this might be caused by using a x86_64 chroot based on a few bug reports I've read on mimalloc when an integer wraps around to a negative.

I'll add more to this once I get it running on bare metal and I can confirm what I'm seeing.
Comment 4 immolo 2022-09-20 16:17:51 UTC
This is now confirmed as an x86 issue only and reported to upstream.
