Which version of xchat? Please provide the output of emerge --info too
Comment 2 Xenofon 2005-03-29 09:18:40 UTC
I have 2.4.1-r1, the latest version available from portage. I installed 2.4.2 from the xchat webpage and it works fine.

Here is the info:

Comment 3 Sven Wegener gentoo-dev 2005-03-31 07:08:48 UTC
I can't reproduce it here. And upstream's ChangeLog doesn't mention anything
that was fixed from 2.4.1 to 2.4.2 that deals with such a bug. Did you took
a binary package of 2.4.2 from xchat.org or do you compiled it yourself?
Comment 4 Xenofon 2005-04-01 10:12:39 UTC
I compiled one myself.
Comment 5 Sven Wegener gentoo-dev 2005-05-14 14:39:36 UTC
How does 2.4.3 behave?
Comment 6 michael@smith-li.com 2005-12-06 10:18:57 UTC
I'm also having trouble with net-irc/xchat-2.4.5 rendering. Occasionally xchat
won't render the channel tabs at all, until they're clicked. Usually at the same
time it stops rendering the entire page of text except for the newest line, at
the bottom. I can make it refresh by dragging something over it, or minimizing
the window for a moment, but the problem comes right back.

Restarting xchat does resolve the problem, for a time.

I have KDE's translucency turned on ATM. I'll turn it off and see if the problem
goes away. If it does, is there any way this bug can be reported to the devs in
charge of that translucency?
