Works fine for me on my 2 servers.
Comment 2 Christian Andreetta (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-30 01:03:25 UTC
you're living a bit on the edge (~x86): libtools, binutils, kernel headers, kernel ver are not the stable ones for your arch.
I think this may be an 'invalid' bug, since the primary cause doesn't seem samba itself.
Comment 3 Alexander Hsia 2005-03-30 17:16:18 UTC
Latest version of libconf-0.39.13 fixed this problem. After emerging this, samba compiled happily. You're right, it isn't a samba problem
Comment 4 Christian Andreetta (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-30 23:16:31 UTC
good :-)
Comment 5 Thomas Axelsson 2005-06-08 10:42:24 UTC
Neither libconf 0.39.18 or 0.39.13 make this work for me.

I upgraded to gcc 3.4.4 (cuz somebody said my dri would work then) and I first
run an emerge -e system and it didnt stop on anything, but the second run hangs
on samba :S
