Description Shyam Mani (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-27 23:59:47 UTC
euse has undergone some changes that rendered the old section on euse quite useless. I've update the docs to adapt to the changes and will put up the patch here.

Probably this can be pushed with yoswink's patch on equery http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75887

Well, I have gentoolkit-0.2.0 installed; euse fails miserably... wouldn't we want to ditch this?

my guess is 'cascading profiles' are not supported well by euse. happened to me, too, after switching to the 2005.0 profile.
Comment 4 Shyam Mani (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-29 07:11:59 UTC
I think we'd still be better off with a BIG warning on top of the doc saying Gentoolkit isn't stable or maybe in the euse section alone saying the same thing.

Either way, there are no docs on Gentoolkit, no man pages...so till all that comes up, this could be a ref of sorts.
Comment 5 Sven Vermeulen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-07 10:59:24 UTC
Okay, I've applied the patch and added the warning.
